Stewart Signs awarded Van Excellence accreditation
POSTED 22.11.16Stewart Signs is the latest addition to the growing list of companies awarded Van Excellence status in the programme run by the Freight Transport Association (FTA). Van Excellence is an industry-led initiative that aims to enhance the standards of van operators, celebrate success and represent the interests of the industry at the highest levels.
The Van Excellence Code sets demanding standards for fleet operators and addresses many of the often cited stereotypical ‘white van man’ issues. A governance group of 17 organisations, chaired by Gary Whittam, came together to address the problems faced by van operators. The end result was a self-regulatory approach to establishing standards for the responsible operation of vans. Businesses are invited to register and seek accreditation through an independent audit.
Stewart Signs fleet manager, James Harris said: “Ensuring our fleet operates to the highest standard is important and the team is extremely proud of this accreditation. It is the result of a lot of hard work and effort, and has been very worthwhile.”
